2023 Festa Italiana Had Record Turnouts
Friday, July 21, 2023Festa Italiana 2023 had record turnouts despite a little bit of rain on Saturday morning. This years festival was packed with even more vendors and activities than ever before. The Festa welcomed Maserati of Troy as the new firework display sponsor and Don Christo's cigar bar as the new entertainment sponsor. We also saw the additions of Vegano Italiano a Vegan food vendor our of Ann Arbor who sold out of everything by Sunday afternoon. We also welcome Detroit Bocce Company who set up 2 courts for guests to enjoy. The Festa had many returning crowd favorites like Nino Salvaggio, Andiamo, Vitos Bakery, Vince and Joes, Gnocchis, Randazzos, as well as the Pretzel truck, elephant, ears, frozen custard, etc. This years festival welcomed the return of the Miss Columbus Day Pageant which has been gone for many years. It also hosted the annual Cannoli eating contest, meatball contest, beautiful baby contest and Italian American Idol contest. Sunday the 16th proved to be the busiest with over 3500 cars parked on Sunday alone. It was a great weekend had by all!
